HYDERABAD: Celebrations were held at the Nehru Zoological Park to mark Independence Day on Tuesday, with zoo director V.S.N.V. Prasad unfurling the National Flag at the administrative building.
Prashant Bajirao Patil, curator of the zoo, deputy curator A. Nagamani and staff were present.
A documentary on the zoo, which covered all animals, was released to mark the occasion. Officials presented certificates and cash prizes to outstanding and best employees of the year.
The Telangana Pollution Control Board observed the Independence Day with member secretary S. Krishna Aditya hoisting the National Flag on the premises.
