Not a laughing matter: Sushma Swaraj blocks satirical Twitter page
Mumbai: Ever so the witty one, Prime Minister Narendra Modi may have chuckled many by joking that he was ‘scared of cracking jokes now’. But with the Union Minister Sushma Swaraj’s recent tussle with a satirical Twitter page, one is left dwelling on that comment.
Twitter page History of India, which has 50,000 followers, caused quite a flutter among the online users when they Tweeted a request asking the External Affairs Minister to unblock them.
The Tweet, which had the screenshot of the blocked message, read “Respected @SushmaSwaraj Ma’am please unblock us, we need to mention your work in History of India.”

Declining the Olive branch however, Swaraj, famous for her quick solutions and online reprieve, was unheeding and appears to have taken a tough stand not to put up with the page’s quirky Tweets.
History of India on the other hand has decided not to take things down lying.
“When it comes to sarcasm, No individual is sacred, No idea is sacred, only laughter is sacred,” a Tweet pinned by the page read.

It also posted another image of Swaraj with a tongue-in-cheek-caption “CEO of Twitter thanking Sushma Swaraj for blocking @RealHistoryPic and starting Real Swachh Bharart Mission.”
