5-year-old boy crushed to death in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A five-year-old boy was crushed to death during a religious procession at Nagole on Tuesday night. The boy came under a huge generator on wheels which was being hauled by a tractor carrying the Sri Venkateswara Swami chariot. The boy, Tanish Reddy, a resident of Balapur, was rushed to hospital. But, he succumbed in hospital by midnight.
Police said the kid and his siblings had come to visit his father Sambi Reddy’s friend’s house at Snehapuri Colony in Nagole on Tuesday night. “The victim, his elder brother Satwik Reddy and some other kids were playing in front of their house on Tuesday evening.
The procession from the Venkateswara Swamy Temple passed by the area. When the kids went near the chariot the victim came under the trolley carrying the generator and tt ran over his upper body,” said a police official.
The police booked a case for negligence. However, it is not clear who the accused is.
