Greater Noida: A woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of a building at Paras Tiara society in Noida, police said on Tuesday.
The victim, Kanchan Gupta, was taken to a hospital by her husband Rahul Gupta last night, but doctors declared her brought dead, Inspector at Surajpur Police Station Manish Saxena said.
The woman, a native of Hamirpur, married Rahul, a resident of Kanpur, three years ago, he said, adding they were staying at Sector-144.
The body has been sent for postmortem and the matter is being investigated, Saxena said.
In another incident, a man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan in Khatana village last night, police said.
The villagers cremated the body without informing police, they said.
