Dead wildboar found on University of Hyderabad campus

Students claimed that a severed head and legs of deer had gone missing on the campus.

Hyderabad: A wild boar was found dead on Monday morning on the University of Hyderabad campus. However, within a few hours, its carcass went missing.

Around 10 am, wildlife activists at the campus heard about the suspicious death of a wild boar near JK Hostel route.

According to student, who found it dead, saw injuries on its neck. By the time wildlife activists reached the spot, the carcass had gone missing.

Ravi Jillapalli, the foun-der of Wildlens Group, said, “This is the second time that carcass of an animal has gone missed on the campus. At around 10 am today. I received information about the suspicious death of a wildboar. When I went there at lunch time, the body of the animal was missing”.

Students claimed that a severed head and legs of deer had gone missing on the campus.

“Earlier, a severed head and legs of deer were noticed by a faculty in old nursery. Later when we went there, they were missing. This could prove to be dangerous for wildlife on the campus. A student had claimed that he saw security men in civil dress, while they are leaving the place,’’ Mr Jillapalli said.
