Coimbatore: The special DGP Ashutosh Shukla in-charge of election wing chaired a meeting with West zone Police higher officials here on Monday, to review security arrangements ahead of the April 18 Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections.
According to sources, Police Commissioners from neighboring cities in west zone including Coimbatore, Tirupur, and Salem along with eight district Police Superintendents including from Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Tirupur, Erode, Namakkal, Salem, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts along with West zone IG K.Periaiah, Sumit Saran, DIG Karthikeyan chaired a meeting with the election wing DGP.
