NIA arrests key trafficker of women

Hyderabad: In the ongoing probe into the trafficking of Bangladeshi women for flesh trade in India, the national investigation agency (NIA) has arrested the key accused, Ruhul Amin Dhali, from West Bengal.

The accused was facilitating the illegal border crossing of Bangladesh women and handing them over to the traffickers who were running brothels across the country.

The NIA had earlier registered a case into the human trafficking after the Hyderabad city police has arrested three persons - Mohd. Yousuf Khan, his wife, Bithi Begum, and their aide, Sojib, in April. The trio was running brothels in the city with women trafficked from Bangladesh.

During the probe, the NIA zeroed in on Ruhul Amind Dhali, 52, a resident of the North 24 Parganas district in West Bengal at Soldana village. The investigators have seized a phone, 6 Indian SIM cards and five Bangladesh SIM cards.

, two memory cards, ten thousand in Bangladesh currency, one diary consisting of Bangladesh and Indian mobile numbers and identity cards from him.

"The investigation has revealed that Ruhul has been regularly receiving money into his bank accounts from the traffickers located at different places in India to facilitate illegal border crossing and trafficking of Bangladeshis," said the NIA, adding that further investigation in the case is underway.

Ruhul was later produced before chief judicial magistrate court at Basirhat on Thursday for a transit remand to produce him at the NIA special court in Hyderabad.
