Hyderabad: Boy hit by train while crossing tracks, dies
HYDERABAD: A class X student was run over by a train while crossing the railway tracks at Ghatkesar on Thursday morning. According to the railway police, “Fayaz, 16, a resident of Ghatkesar, was studying in class X at Vignana Bharathi School in Ghatkesar. On Thursday, he was crossing a railway track on his way to school when he was hit by a train. He sustained multiple injuries and died on the spot.” The Secunderabad railway police registered a case. After an autopsy, the body was handed over to the family.
Meanwhile in another incident a speeding tipper ran over more than 20 sheep at Abdullapurmet on Thursday. The owner Rasuri Mallesh, who was returning with the sheep after grazing, escaped unhurt.
According to Sources, Mallesh from bacharam village was returning home with his herd of sheep. While passing through the village, an overspeeding tipper no AP 29V 1141, ran over the herd, killing all of them on the spot.
While villagers claimed that the tipper driver was under the effect of the alcohol, the driver fled from the spot, leaving behind the vehicle.
