TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Tuesday announced that its trust board has decided to regularise all employees and workers who have been working for TTD on a contract basis.
This decision has been taken in alignment with the state government order 114, to provide job security to those working for the temple and its organisations.
TTD trust board chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and Devasthanam executive officer A.V. Dharma Reddy, made the announcement of regularising contract staff after the TTD board met in Tirumala on Tuesday.
Additionally, the trust board approved a proposal to integrate certain posts, such as those of typists, telex operators, and telephone operators (grade-1), with the Junior Assistant cadre as part of manpower adjustment initiative.
The other decisions taken by the board are approval of:
Tender for ₹25.67 crore for construction of gravel roads on land allotted to TTD employees for building their houses at Vadamalapet. Tender of ₹15 crore for laying gravel roads on additional 132 acres of land in the same region to provide housing for employees. Tenders of ₹6.15 crore for developing TTD employees' quarters at Ramnagar in Tirupati.
Further, the TTD chairman announced Brahmotsavam Bahumanam (gift) of ₹14,000 for regular employees and ₹6,850 for contract and outsourcing employees in recognition of their contribution in organising the Tirumala Brahmotsavams successfully.
Allocation of ₹3.50 crore for establishing a wildlife monitoring cell for safety of devotees who walk to the hill temple. trekking devotees. Seeking state government approval for an annual grant of ₹5 crore for the monitoring cell. Greenlighting tenders for road extension and development projects totalling to ₹57.51 crore.
Administrative sanction of ₹197 crore towards modernisation and renovation of Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences. Approving tenders of ₹74.24 crore and ₹3.35 crore for construction of a new cardio-neuro block and two additional floors for the benefit of patients' attendants. Approval of ₹1.79 crore for construction of a new TB ward in Ruia Hospital and ₹1.65 crore for developing the ground floor of SV Ayurveda Hospital in Tirupati. ₹15.54 crore worth tenders for construction of Sri Padmavati Sametha Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Karimnagar.
Sanctioning continuation of workers engaged in cleaning and sanitation services.
