Hyderabad: A formal system of internship will be introduced in state universities so that students get industrial exposure, said incharge Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University Arvind Kumar while meeting the first batch of engineering students at Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology.
Mr Kumar said, “Exposure of students to the industries is an important part of technical training and a formal system has to be in place.” With the new institutional ranking system in place at the national level, the state government is planning to set up State Institutions Ranking Framework, where the colleges affiliated to the Osmania University will be ranked. The state is going to rank the institutes based on performance.
