Vizag: 52.6 per cent pass Class X exam

Candidates who want recounting should remit Rs 500 per subject within a week from the date of publication of results.

Visakhapatnam: About 52.6 per cent of the students from Visakhapatnam district who appeared for the Class X supplementary examinations cleared the test.

Among the girls, 52.4 percent passed, while for boys the percentage of passed students was 52.85. As many 3,135 boys and 2,292 girls from the district took the exam and 2,858 cleared it.

This year, the pass percentage of the state (60.16 percent) decreased by about 4.54 per cent, compared to last year’s 64.70 per cent. Anantapur district registered the highest pass percentage of 76.10 while West Godavari stood last with 50.47 percent.

Candidates who want recounting should remit Rs 500 per subject within a week from the date of publication of results. “They can also opt for re-verification. They have to submit their applications within seven days along with a photocopy of hall ticket to the Office of the DEO concerned duly countersigned by the headmaster concerned.

“Applications sent by post to the Board will not be accepted. Application format is kept on the board’s website, i.e., www.bseap.org. Students can also get applications from the office of the DEO. The candidates have to remit the amount of '1,000 per subject through individual challan,” they said.
