KTR, Harish Rao Inaugurate IT Tower in Siddipet

HYDERABAD: The Telangana government is setting up impressive landmarks to demonstrate its commitment to expanding the IT sector beyond Hyderabad. IT and Industries Ministers K.T. Rama Rao and Health and Finance Minister T. Harish Rao inaugurated an IT Tower in Siddipet on Thursday. They handed over allotment letters to 17 companies that secured office space in the tower.

The Siddipet IT Tower, a remarkable establishment, comprises four floors that have been allocated to 17 companies. With a total of approximately 720 seats available, the IT Tower can accommodate a workforce of up to 1,440 individuals, facilitating smooth operations in two shifts. This state-of-the-art facility serves as a hub for technology-driven enterprises, offering a conducive environment for innovation, collaboration, and growth.

The state government's vision of expanding IT to Tier-II/Tier-III towns has become a reality now, driving economic growth and creating employment opportunities. The state is witnessing the transformation of these towns into thriving IT hubs, attracting top companies and fostering innovation.

Speaking on the occasion, KTR spoke about the employment opportunities in the state, the ecosystem created to prepare students for the industry, and the development witnessed in Siddipet and throughout the state.

The minister emphasized that there is plenty of talent and innovative spirit among youth who have pursued education in rural areas. The Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge (TASK) was established at the IT tower to address gaps in employability skills. KTR further mentioned that the IT tower will be expanded, and a T-Hub centre will also be established.

Highlighting the abundance of opportunities, KTR mentioned that the state has attracted significant investments and companies. He emphasized the need for intellectual capability to seize these opportunities.

Speaking about the Telangana model of development, he stated that the state has witnessed holistic, integrated, balanced, and inclusive growth. Alongside the surge in the agricultural sector, IT exports have also increased. The state is actively conserving the environment while simultaneously witnessing a rise in the number of industries. KTR proclaimed that Telangana has become a role model for the country under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Minister Harish Rao, speaking on the occasion, expressed that the Chief Minister delivered on election promises, including a separate district for Siddipet, Godavari water, and a rail network for the district. Enumerating the development works observed in the district, such as a Police Commissionerate, drinking water, and irrigation facilities, Harish Rao noted that an IT tower has also been established, providing employment opportunities to local youth.
