KTR, Harish Rao Inaugurate IT Tower in Siddipet

Hyderabad: IT minister K.T.Rama Rao and finance minister T. Harish Rao inaugurated the IT Tower in Siddipet on Thursday and handed over allotment letters to 17 companies that had secured office space.

Rama Rao said that the state government was setting up IT towers in the districts to demonstrate its commitment to expanding the sector beyond Hyderabad.

The Siddipet IT Tower comprises four floors and 720 seats. It can accommodate up to 1,440 individuals in two shifts. "The state government's vision of expanding IT to Tier-II/Tier-III towns has become a reality now, driving economic growth and creating employment opportunities. The state is witnessing the transformation of these towns into thriving IT hubs, attracting top companies and fostering innovation," Rama Rao said.

The minister emphasised that there is plenty of talent and innovative spirit among youth who have pursued education in rural areas. The Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge (TASK) was established at the IT tower to address gaps in employability skills.

Rama Rao said the IT Tower would be expanded, and a T-Hub centre will be established.

Speaking about the Telangana model of development, he stated that the state has witnessed holistic, integrated, balanced, and inclusive growth. Alongside the surge in the agricultural sector, IT exports have also increased.
Harish Rao said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had delivered on election promises, including a separate district for Siddipet, Godavari water and a rail network for the district.

Enumerating the development works implemented in the district, such as a police commissionerate, drinking water and irrigation facilities, Harish Rao noted that an IT tower has also been established, providing employment opportunities to local youth.
