MP Bharat saves life of youth

Kakinada: Rajamahendravaram MP M. Bharat saved the life of a 25-year-old youth who was getting ready to jump into River Godavari on Tuesday.

According to information, the MP had been going to Gopalapuram. While passing over the road-cum-railway bridge, he saw a youth keeping his bike aside and getting ready to jump into the river.

Bharat immediately stopped the car, went to the youth and pulled him away from the pillars of the bridge. He informed Rajamahendravaram Two Town police who reached the spot and took away the youth.

Two Town inspector Ganesh told Deccan Chronicle that the youth Ayyappa is the sixth child of Sitapati Rao couple of Unakaramilli village in Nidadavole mandal. He studied B. Tech in at Tadepalligudem and worked in a pharmacy company at Jadcherla in Telangana for some months.

The inspector said the youth has suicidal tendency. Earlier too he had made a similar attempt from Dowleswaram barrage but had been saved.

Police counselled Ayyappa and handed him over to his parents.
