Hyderabad: A two-year-old baby girl accidentally fell in a manhole in front of her house at Pallecheruvu Basthi under Mailardevpally police station limits on Thursday.
Sonu Kumar Mehta and Neelam, natives of Bihar had migrated to the city four years back and were living at Pallecheruvu area.
Sonu was working at Kattedan area, while Neelam was a homemaker.
On Thursday, Riya, who was playing in front of the house accidentally fell into an open manhole.
As the girl was missing, her parents began searching for her and found her inside the manhole, which was closed.
The body of the girl was recovered by the Mailardevpally police, who handed the body over to her parents after a post-mortem at Osmania General Hospital.
A case of causing death due to the negligence was booked for the investigation.
