Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran welcomes Supreme Court Sabari verdict

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state government on Thursday welcomed the SC decision to refer matters related to the ban on entry of women between the age of 10 and 30 into Sabarimala temple, to a Constitution Bench. Devaswom minister Kadakampally Surendran said the LDF government was bound to implement the judgement of Constitution Bench.

The government has already made it clear that it was against any kind of gender ban. “No progressive government can support gender ban. We all know that rituals have been subjected to several changes,” the minister said. “We are sure the society will support an amicable solution,” the minister added
