Warangal to be Telangana sports hub
Warangal: In the coming days, Warangal district will be a hub for all kinds of sports thus providing local athletes opportunities to hone their skills.
Warangal West MLA Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar, speaking after the inauguration of the sports festival at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Hanamkonda on Wednesday, said the state government was keen on developing Warangal as the next big city in the state.

“After noticing that several athletes from Warangal have proved their mettle in the national and international sports meets, we have decided to promote sports in the state from the rural-level. Most of the youth who hail from the rural areas do not have proper facilities and we want to fill that void,” the MLA said.
He said that the sports festival will help identify talented athletes hone their skills.
