Hyderabad: A 23-year-old medical student, identified as Jidi Jagadish pursuing BAMS at B.R.K.R. Government Ayurvedic Medical College in Erragadda, died by suicide in his friend’s room at Madhuranagar on Wednesday.
Hailing from Narayanpet district, Jagadish shared a room with his friend in Madhuranagar. On Wednesday, he left his flat and went to another friend's flat in the neighbourhood. After reaching the flat, he sent a distressing WhatsApp message to one of his friends revealing his intention to end his
life.
His friend immediately alerted other friends. They all rushed to his flat and shifted him to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. Based on a complaint by his father, police registered a case and started an investigation. Prima facie, the reason behind the suicide is not known. All angles are being probed into, the police confirmed.
