Hyderabad: A notorious interstate house burglar involved in over 10 house burglaries in Rachakonda was detained on Tuesday under the Preventive Detention Act by Rachakonda commissioner.
Sathish, 30, a rag picker has seven police cases registered against him at Jawaharnagar police station, and also has cases lodged against him at Kakinda, Visakhapatnam, Bhuvanagiri and other police stations. Sathish was arrested by the Kakinda police in 2016 and was released ten months later.
After his release, he again started indulging in similar offences in Rachakonda police station limits. Police recovered 122 tola gold articles and 52 tola silver articles worth Rs 24.5 lakh from the accused Anusuri Sathish, when he was arrested in March.
In a separate incident, a man from Maharashtra who committed three chain snatching offences in an hour was detained by the Cyberabad commissioner on Wednesday under the Preventive Detention Act.
Shaik Javed Ali, 27, a labourer from Maharashtra was involved in three robberies in Miyapur, KPHB and R.C. Puram. He was arrested in April by the KPHB police and remanded to judicial custody.
