The Aardram Mission is aiming at a large shift in the health sector, though few doctors oppose it.

ALAPPUZHA: Health minister K.K. Shylaja has promised trauma care centres across the state in four years. Speaking at a meeting of heads of various departments at Government Medical College here, she said they would follow the All India Medical Sciences model. “Nurses would be trained as part of road safety project," she said. Seeking the support of medical practitioners and employees, the minister said public health scenario of the district was changing.

The Aardram Mission is aiming at a large shift in the health sector, though few doctors oppose it. “It aims at turning primary health centres into family centres. The mission will cover 170 PHCs in the first phase. Yoga centres and gym facilities would be added. As many as 680 new posts would be created," she said.
