Hyderabad: A drilling machine’s box created panic at Himayathnagar on Tuesday with people alerting the police to a ‘bomb’. The detection squad rushed to the spot only to find a drilling machine inside the box. Police said a construction worker forgot the box near the bus station when he got into a bus.
The incident occurred near Himayatnagar bus station. “We came to know that a construction worker who was waiting for a bus there had kept it on the ground. When the bus came he forgot to take the box. Later, he came to us and collected the article,” said an official from Narayanguda police station. The police had cordoned off the area and conducted a thorough search for half an hour.
