Distraught over the delay in marriage, a man committed suicide by hanging himself from a ceiling fan at Bhogapuram area in Vizianagaram district.
Hyderabad: An RTC employee committed suicide by hanging on Saturday night, after having an argument with his family over his drinking habit.
Police identified the deceased as G. Sai, 30, a resident of Malkajgiri. “On Saturday night, Sai and his family had an argument due to his persistent drinking habit which was adding on to the financial problems of the family since he was the only earning member,” said officials.
The victim was working as an RTC bus conductor for the past 4 years at the Musheerabad bus depot.
A case has been registered at the Malkajgiri police station under Section 174 of CrPC (suspicious death) and officials are investigating the cause of his suicide.
