Huge rush at Vemulawada and Dharmapuri temples

Pilgrims performed bonalu, abhishekam and navagraha puja at Baddi Pochamma and Bheemeshwara Swamy temples

VEMULAWADA: A large number of devotees thronged Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada of Rajanna Sircilla district and Sri Laxminarasimha Swamy temple at Dharmapuri in Jagtial district on Sunday.
There was huge rush right from the early hours. Devotees, however, remained disciplined, maintaining physical distance in queues and wearing face masks while having darshan of presiding deities. Devout performed the traditional ritual – Kode Mokku – at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple.

Pilgrims also performed bonalu, abhishekam and navagraha puja at Baddi Pochamma and Bheemeshwara Swamy temples in the vicinity of Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy shrine in Vemulawada.

Chief commissioner of Telangana State Right to Information (RTI) Act Budda Murali, and assistant solicitor general of India (High Court of Telangana) Namavarapu Rajeshwar Rao, along with their family members, visited the Sri Laxminarasimha Swamy temple and offered prayers to the presiding deities.
As a precautionary measure in accordance with Covid-19 guidelines, temple authorities only allowed Laghu (brief) darshan of deities. This helped clear the huge rush of devotees.
