Bengaluru: Rider injured, residents busy recording accident
Bengaluru: A 25-year-old rider sustained critical injuries after he allegedly rammed his bike into the median near Hosur Gate flyover on Saturday morning. What was more shocking was that passers-by, who witnessed the accident, were busy recording the video of the victim rather than shifting him to the hospital!
The injured, Anna Malai Raju Kiriti, who works in the city, hails from Kurnool. He was heading to his hometown on his Pulsar bike when the accident occurred around 9.45am. It is believed that Kiriti, instead of wearing the helmet, had put it around his arm at the time of accident, the police said.
“Kiriti was riding the bike at a high speed, and as he arrived near the Hosur Gate junction flyover he tried to take left, lost control of his bike and fell down. He was severely injured on his right hand and head. The local residents rushed to the spot, but were busy recording the video, instead of shifting him immediately to a hospital.
However, one of them offered Kiriti some water and by 1 pm, he was shifted to Prolife Hospital. The doctors said the victim is out of danger,” the police said.
