Visakhapatnam: The Visakha district committee of the CPM condemned the Sankranti celebrations organised by BJP MP G.V.L. Narasimha Rao, alleging that Rao misused State Bank of India’s CSR funds.
The Left alleged that Rao misused public money for his political gain in the name of celebrations and appeals to people to question the misappropriation of CSR funds of SBI by the MP.
The CPM demands that SBI officials should answer to the people on the misuse
of bank funds.
The committee states that according to the rules, CSR funds should be used for education, medical purposes, urgent needs of the people, and public welfare. However, the BJP is using the funds from Steel Plant, HPCL, Visakha Port, LIC, and many other government organisations for their political benefits, alleges CMP.
