Workshop for cardiologists at Kurnool GGH

Kurnool: Kurnool Government General Hospital organised a STEMI / Emergency Cardiac Care Workshop for 50 of its doctors on Tuesday to enhance their expertise in managing cardiac emergencies.

Kurnool GGH in-charge superintendent Dr. A. Prabhakar Reddy said the workshop focussed on equipping cardiology doctors with essential skills and knowledge, such as recognising the causes of heart attack, interpreting ECG changes, administering immediate care, performing thrombolysis, and coordinating timely transport of patients to the hospital through 108 ambulance services.

Dr. Prabhakar Reddy said this initiative is crucial in improving the overall response to cardiac emergencies and providing effective treatment.

Kurnool Medical College principal Dr. Sudhakar, heads of departments Dr. Sriramulu, Dr. Srilakshmi Bai, Dr. Maheshwar Reddy, Dr. Vidyasagar, Dr. Srinivasulu, Dr. Prashanth and Dr. Lalitha; and RMO Dr. Venkataramana participated in the workshop.
