Mega Blood Donation Camp Collects 484 Units for Thalassemia Patients
Hyderabad: Hyderabad witnessed a compassionate gesture as the Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Society Hyderabad (TSCS) and All India Payam-E-Insaniyat Forum (AIPIF) orchestrated a Mega Blood Donation Camp on November 13, 2023, at Wahed Nagar, Hi-tech Garden Road, Old Malakpet. Led by Mr. Abu Aimal, Maulana Syed, Incharge Qutubuddin Nadvi, and Maulana Mois uddin Nadvi Sahab, along with AIPIF Volunteers, the camp achieved a significant milestone by collecting 484 units of blood.
The primary objective was to encourage voluntary blood donations and garner support for individuals battling Thalassemia, who require consistent blood transfusions for effective management. The event drew an enthusiastic response from the local community, with numerous volunteers actively participating in this life-saving initiative.
Dr. Chandrakant Agarwal, President of TSCS, underscored the critical importance of blood donations, expressing gratitude to the organizers and donors. "We want to thank all the organizers and blood donors who have come forward for this noble initiative. Thalassemia affects numerous lives, and the necessity for regular blood transfusions is vital for the well-being of those affected," he remarked.
