Twitterati ask Pak to take film 'Mohenjo Daro' instead of Dancing Girl' statue

A Pakistani lawyer has claimed the 5,000-year-old bronze statue belonged to Lahore Museum and taken to India about 60 years ago.

Mumbai: Twitter users in India have given a hilarious response to a Pakistani lawyer demanding that India "return" the 'Dancing Girl' statue to Islamabad.

Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffrey had filed an appeal in the Lahore High Court, seeking to ask Pakistan's government to claim a 5,000-year-old bronze statue from India.

In the petition, Jaffrey claimed that the statue, discovered in 1926 from Mohenjodaro – the ancient city of the Indus Valley Civilisation in Sindh, belonged to Lahore Museum and taken to India about 60 years ago.

Twitterati was quick to offer a response to Jaffrey’s appeal by offering Hrithik Roshan-starrer Mohenjo Daro instead of the 'Dancing Girl' statue.
