Telangana: Mid Day Meal Workers Protest At Dharna Chowk

Hyderabad: In a recent turn of events, the Telangana Mid-Day Meals Scheme Workers Union has once again taken to the streets to demand the allocation of funds necessary to fulfill a long-standing promise of increased wages. The protest unfolded at Dharna Chowk, located within the serene surroundings of Indira Park in Hyderabad.

The workers, who play a vital role in providing nutritious meals to schoolchildren across the state, gathered in significant numbers to voice their concerns. Their primary demand is the allocation of a budget that will enable the fulfillment of the wage revision promised to them earlier.

The protest at Dharna Chowk was marked by a display of unity and determination among the Mid-Day Meals workers. Through the show of their protest, the workers have made their grievances clear to both authorities and the general public.

The wage increase, which had been previously assured to the workers, is a critical issue for them. Many of these dedicated individuals rely on their wages to support their families and make ends meet. The delay in implementing the promised wage revision has caused financial hardship for many workers, making the issue a matter of urgency.

The Telangana Mid-Day Meals Scheme is a vital program to address malnutrition among schoolchildren and promote regular attendance in educational institutions. The workers, who form the backbone of this program, believe that a wage increase is not only justified but essential to maintain their motivation and commitment to this noble cause.

This is not the first time that Mid-Day Meals Scheme workers have taken to the streets to demand their rights. Previously, over 1000 workers had participated in the 'Chalo Hyderabad' campaign, where they traveled to the city to demand the settlement of their salary dues.

As the protest at Dharna Chowk continues, the public's attention is drawn to the vital role of Mid-Day Meals workers in the education and well-being of Telangana's schoolchildren.
