Vizag SIT to get extension

Temporary revenue and survey training centres soon, says Dy CM.

Vijayawada: Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishna Murthy on Tuesday hinted at extending the time limit for the SIT formed to probe the Vizag land scams, if needed.

While speaking at the media conference held on the occasion of completing 3 years of his tenure, Mr Krishna Murthy said in the history of the Revenue department, it was sanctioning 108 tahsildar offices and 8 RDO offices at a time for the first time. He said he had told the Vizag district collector to enquire on complaints received against the Vizag RDO. He mentioned about bringing ordinance at the earliest on water tap charges, which is in the purview of the Governor.

The Deputy CM talked about establishing temporary revenue and survey training centre in Samarlakota. He said he would welcome the decision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on taking Mr Byreddy Rajashekar Reddy into the party again. He said Mr Naidu had mentioned many times of welcoming leaders into the TD, if they respect its theories and it is our policy.

Mr Krishna Murthy said, “The target set for 2017-18 fiscal year by government was Rs 4,000 crore, while the target set until August was Rs 1,660 crore; but by August end, the target accomplished was Rs 1,724 crore which is 103 per cent.”

He mentioned about the government green-signalling the establishment of 9 urban mandals across the state in view of the increasing population where 3 are in Visakhapatnam, 3 in Vijayawada, and Guntur, Kurnool and Nellore each 1. He even mentioned about establishing 623 ETS and 9 DGPS machines across the state to resolve the survey requests, and for their utilisation, having trained 2,109 regular and licenced surveyors.

The Dy CM also mentioned about government regularising government lands encroached by below poverty line families which are below 100 yards for free of cost and 35,286 families benefitted from it across the state. He said with GO MS No. 298 released on July 17, 2017, the issue of ownership right related to 24 lakh acres of land will be resolved.

He told about releasing a QR scanning tool which detects whether the title deeds and passbooks are originally designed in the name of Bhoo Sodak and said about providing facility in Mee Bhoomi website to download title deed and passbook for free. He even mentioned about providing facility to farmers in Mee Seva to gain title deeds and passbooks in just 15 minutes by paying '25.

Mr Murthy said unlike other departments, the revenue department had brought many reforms in the past 3 years and mentioned about taking measures to prevent common public moving around revenue offices by utilising the technologies.
