Mandatory training plans for Telangana officials on cyber security features
Hyderabad: The IT department will make it mandatory for everyone from section officers to top bureaucrats to be trained on cyber security features.
The cyber warriors and Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge will provide training sessions in phases. Senior IAS and IPS officials will attend the training classes followed by other bureaucrats and non-IAS/IPS including section officers.
In most cyber-crime cases, the victims are identified as netizens with poor security knowledge. Not long ago, a single click online led to the loss of Rs 30 lakh in a case filed in the jurisdiction of Panjagutta police station.
Focusing on such experiences and case studies, the IT department has decided to provide training to officials on cyber security. IT secretary Jayesh Ranjan said that the training programme will be launched by next week.
