Haryana: AAP plan to tether cows in front of BJP workers' homes goes horribly wrong
Chandigarh: An “anti-communal” protest by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Haryana not only failed on an embarrassing note, but also resulted in a loss for a party member.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, AAP had planned to tether cows in front of the residences of BJP ministers in Haryana to protest against the ruling party’s alleged divisive politics on cow protection in the country.
However, the party failed in the very first attempt when a Rs 25,000 cow tethered outside the house of BJP’s Rao Narbir Singh was taken inside by the Haryana minister’s staff and transferred to his farmhouse.
The minister later refused to return the cow, which belonged to a party member Rajpal Bhadana, causing further embarrassment to AAP.
“We milked the cow on Sunday evening and shifted it to the farmhouse. We are taking good care of the cow. Some person approached us twice on Sunday evening to return the cow but we refused since it was left at the doorsteps of the minister,” Singh’s personal assistant Laxmi Narayan Yadav said.
Meanwhile, Bhadana has now given up on his efforts to get back the cow and said, “The cow belongs to the party and I will not demand it back again.”
