Athirapally power project: Kerala Congress (M) warns caution

Kottayam: The Kerala Congress (M) has asked the state government to move ahead cautiously on the Athirapally hydro-electric project. Kottayam MP Jose K. Mani told DC after the party’s steering committee meeting here on Saturday that the project should be implemented only if it does not harm the environment. The meeting decided to organise protest dharma against the anti-farmer policies of the central and state governments in Thiruvananthapuram on August 22.
