KARIMNAGAR: Locals at Hanumajipet recalled their association with Dr C. Narayana Reddy, who was born in the village that is now in Rajanna Sircilla district,
Cinare used to visit at least once a year, locals said. The tombs of his wife and parents are located in the back yard of his house, and locals wanted his funeral to be performed there.
A local person takes care of Narayana Reddy’s house. A house was constructed for him to stay whenever he visited the village.
Ms Jubarthi Narsavva, a local, said one Enugula Mallaiah had saved Narayana Reddy as a child when he was drowning in the well while learning swimming.
As a child, Cinare used to mimic his mother and some locals. He used to stage plays with his friends.
He had denoted his land for a colony for Dalits. He had a CC road built with funds that he got as a Rajya Sabha member. He also funded the Kala Bhavan in Sircilla, Vemulawada and Karimnagar.
