Kerala Congress (M) members attack four AAP activists at Ramapuram
Kottayam: Four activists of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were injured in an attack by the Kerala Congress (M) members at Ramapuram near Pala on Thursday evening. The Aam Aadmi Party activists were conducting a campaign against corruption at the Ramapuram junction.
According to sources, the KC(M) workers were enraged by references against KC(M) chairman K.M. Mani and his alleged connection with the bar bribery case. Even though AAP has not fielded any candidate in Pala, they were campaigning against corruption.
The AAP activists including Rani, a native of Thrissur, Sujith George and Aneeta Mani, natives of Kottayam and Shahaz, a native of Kanjirapally were injured in the attack. They were admitted to the Pala government hospital. Sources said the police is taking statements of victims and that a case will be registered.
