Wiki experts to train St Albert's School

The PTA members will teach the students the safe internet usage, Skype and Spoken English, etc.

Kochi: St Albert’s School is in the forefront to offer free guidance to start social study centres in all schools in Kerala with the help of Wikipedia teachers. The Wiki trainer Sebastian Panakkal will lead the session. Students of St Albert’s and their mothers who are learning spoken English online communicating with the foreign students will be there for guidance.

The PTA members will teach the students the safe internet usage, Skype and Spoken English, etc. during this vacation free of cost. It will begin on April 17 at the school. After the holiday, all participant schools will get a registered social study centre in the name of their institution. Albert’s is initiating women empowerment, to avail next generation global education using open educational resources. Abhijith K.S., Benedict K.S. and Rebin Zadik, are some of the representatives of Albert’s who had presented their seminar papers in the international competitions of student technology conference.

They have also got an invitation from www.ngee.org to visit the partnership school abroad. To prove their entrepreneurship, they are connecting most of the foreign schools with native schools to learn spoken English through this voluntary service.
