Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and several others paid rich tributes to Swami Vivekananda on occasion of his 160th birth anniversary on Wednesday.
The Governor said Swami Vivekananda played a major role in uplifting society by highlighting the importance of unity among all religions, and educating women and downtrodden sections of the society.
In his tweet, Jagan Mohan Reddy said, "Rich tributes to the universal man who spread the name and fame of nation across the globe and stands as an ideal to be followed by all."
