K B Ganesh Kumar fudged letter: Fenny Kumar
Thiruvananthapuram: Fenny Balakrishnan, the former lawyer for Saritha S. Nair, the prime accused in the solar scam, has raised serious allegations against legislator K. B. Ganesh Kumar saying he added four pages to the original letter the woman wrote from the jail. He said her original letter was 21 pages and Mr Kumar added four more, making it 25. The lawyer received the letter from the Pathanamthitta sub-jail, and its superintendent had given a receipt for the same.
It was actually not a letter, but a draft of the complaint to be filed. He had also deposed before the Justice Sivarajan commission that it was of 21 pages only. It was in the additional four pages that the sexual allegations against leaders were included. The woman added the four herself as per the directions of Saranya Manoj, the cousin of Mr Kumar, on March 12, 2015. The letter was handed over to P. A. Pradeep, his personal assistant.
The tower locations of the phone calls of alleged persons on the day would reveal the truth. Mr Kumar had made this to settle the score with UDF leaders who ousted him from the Oommen Chandy cabinet as he was sure he was not going to get back the post, Mr Balakrishnan said.
The impartiality of the Justice Sivarajan commission was under question as his recommendations were based on the letter which was manipulated. Even though jail superintendent had deposed that the original letter was only 21 pages, it was not examined. Moreover, the court did not permit to give a statement on the issue, Mr Balakrishnan said told reporters here.
