Veerraju alleges BC ministers not given freedom to work independently

Vijayawada: BJP state president Somu Veerraju alleged that the ministers belonging to the backward classes in the YSRC government were not given freedom to work independently while the family rule of both the YSRC and the Telugu Desam caused a lot of injustice to the BCs in the state.

Taking part in a OBC March state executive committee meeting held here on Tuesday, the BJP senior leader slammed the YSRC government for giving posts to the leaders from the BC and SC communities with no power to function and alleged that it was playing mind game politics in the state. He turned critical against the government for failing to build the capital city for AP and also castigated it for failing to ask Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao even though he refused to allow water to be released to the Rayalaseema region.

In a sharp reaction to the critical remarks made by the YSRC leaders against the farmers for taking out a state-wide march seeking support for Amaravati, he blamed them for lacking individuality and readings the scripts given by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The BJP state president attributed credit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for working for the development of weaker and backward classes in the country and said that the PM had allotted Rs 10,000 crore for the welfare of de-notified tribes in the Budget.

He said that their government at the Centre was trying to develop all sections of the people in the society and added that the BCs would get their due respect and recognition only in their government.
