Kozhikode: Vimal Jyothi engineering college bags 5 global awards
Kozhikode: Six students including a faculty member from Vimal Jyothi engineering college, Kannur, won 5 international awards under the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) IAS (Industry Application society), which is an organization supporting and encouraging engineering students and graduates globally. The award recipients were recognized globally at IEEE IAS Annual Meeting at Marriott Hotel Portland, Oregon, USA held between October 2 and 6.
Priyadarshan C. V. and Robin Thomas were selected among the top 10 projects submitted under the Myron Zucker project competition. The duo was also given the opportunity to attend the annual meeting of IEEE IAS, for their projects.
Jesvin Pinto, student of the college and Nikhil Valsan, the faculty and advisor of the student branch chapter of the organization, received awards for their outstanding performance both as the advisor and the chairman of the student branch.
