Chennai: Former Union Minister, M.K. Alagiri said the content imputed as if he had expressed an opinion on the postponement of the local body election.

Sources said Alagiri had contacted the said private news channel, which clarified that it did not flash the said content and that miscreants doctored it.

Alagiri claimed in his complaint that the particular post was aimed at destroying his political career and personal life. He reiterated that his allegiance with his father and DMK leader M. Karunanidhi remains unquestionable.

The complaint dated October 8 also stated that the said material was widely shared on the social networking sites on October 7 and 8.
