AP CM enquires about Jayalalithaa's health, conducts prayers at Tirumala
Chennai: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has held prayers at Sri Venkateswara temple in Tirupati seeking the Lord's divine blessings for the complete recovery of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa who is undergoing treatment at the Apollo Hospital here.
Mr Chandrababu enquired about the health of Ms. Jayalalithaa and asked the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials to send the Swamy Vari prasadam and Seshavastram of the presiding deity seeking speedy recovery of Ms. Jayalalithaa. Following this, TTD Board member Sekhar Reddy who arrived here on Tuesday evening presented the prasadam and vastram to the Chief Minister. He was received by Deputy Speaker Thambidurai and State Health Minister Dr. Vijaya Baskar.
The ruling AIADMK's official Twitter handle, @AIADMKofficial, said Mr. Chandrababu had sent the “prasadam” from Lord Venkateshwara temple to Apollo hospital. “Chandrababu Naidu held prayers at Tirupati temple for complete recovery of Chief Minister (Ms. Jayalalithaa). The Andhra CM sent the prasadam to Apollo Hospital,” the tweet in Tamil read.
Ms Jayalalithaa continued to be under treatment and was being constantly monitored by intensivists and other consultants in the expert panel, while respiratory support, antibiotics, nutrition, supportive therapy and passive physiotherapy were being given to her, said hospital authorities on Monday.
