Neet all-india quota intake process begins

Thiruvananthapuram: The admission process from National Entrance cum Eligibility Test (NEET) for the All India quota, of which there are 194 seats in the state, will begin on Wednesday. The website of the centralised counselling mcc.nic.in will be open until 5 pm to complete choice filling and locking process. The seat breakup is as follows: Government Medical College, Kottayam: 22; Government Medical College, Kozhikode: 38; Government Medical College, Malappuram: 15; Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram Government Medical College, Kollam: 15; Government Medical College, Ernakulam: 15; Government Medical College, Palakkad: 15 Government Medical College, Thrissur: 22 and TD Medical College, Alappuzha: 22.

The first round of allotment will be published on July 15. The Union ministry of health and family welfare has limited the rounds for this to two. Of the total seats in government medical colleges, it will conduct counselling for 15 percent seats under the all-India quota and state government for the remaining 85 percent seats. An applicant who has taken admission under the all-India quota in the second counselling will not be allowed to vacate the seat for a better college. Earlier, students had an option to wait till the third counselling.
