Kudankulam students to attend Russia music show

The finale is to be held during 1st week of August where over 50 participants are to enthral the audience with the spectacular show.

Chennai: Three children from Kudankulam have been selected to participate in 'Nuclear Kids, music programme in Russia. R. Poorna Prakash, son of Ms. S. Manimozhi Haripriya, Planning Depart-ment, Kudankulam Nuclear Pow-er Plant (KKNPP); R. Surya Kumar, son of Mr. Ramakrishnan, Mechanical Department, and K. Hariharan, son of Mr. Kandeeban, Operation & Maintenance , studying at Atomic Energy Central School, Kudankulam, are participating. 'Nuclear Kids' is the international children's art project of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation ‘Rosatom’, which annually brings together talented children of employees of the nuclear power industry from Russia and foreign partner countries of Rosatom to set and play a bright musical show.

Led by Mr. R. Velupillai of Atomic Energy Central School, Kudankulam, the team, who qualified based on the skills exhibited in selection round organised recently at their school, will fly to Russia on July 13 and spend their time receiving intense training of about three weeks, along with fitness exercises including swimming; rehearsing and socialising with students from other nations. The finale is to be held during 1st week of August where over 50 participants are to enthral the audience with the spectacular show.
