The implementation of a common civil code in the country has been part of the BJP's election manifesto over the past several years.
Kozhikode: The Muslim youth league will convene a meet of the youth wing of major Muslim organizations here on Wednesday to chalk out plans to campaign against IS. Besides exposingy IS, the campaign will be started against the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code.
“The IS issue could be viewed in two perspectives. Primarily, there is a section of people who abandon all comforts and migrate to lead a life by breeding goats and conduct other agricultural activities as the Prophet lived. That cannot be connected to terrorism or IS. Secondly, the real linkage to IS should be dealt with politically,” explained youth league state secretary P.K Firos.
