Mancherial: The Ramagundam commissionerate arrested 10 persons for organising betting on IPL cricket matches through online and offline modes under Luxettipet police station limits on Saturday.
The police seized 20 mobile phones, two laptops and Rs 1.8 lakh cash. The police counselled those indulging in betting. The police found that Pavan Kabra of Nizamabad, Virat of Wani of Maharashtra and some persons in Hyderabad were acting as bookies.
Police commissioner V. Satyanarayana has formed special teams to check online betting on the IPL matches.
