Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar said they had hired an autorickshaw for Rs 700 to go to Chintalmet, Rajendranagar, from Lingampally.

When he insisted on the fare of `700, they forced him to go to the Jalpally lake and stabbed him. They later burnt the autorickshaw. Task Force additional DCP said the tattoos on the driver’s body helped identify the driver, as a missing person complaint had been filed in Chandanagar.
