AP Pavilion in EXPO 2020-Dubai inaugurated

Goutham Reddy said Andhra Pradesh is the 8th largest state and is strategically located on India’s east coast with a 974km-long coastline

VIJAYAWADA: Minister for Industries, Commerce and IT, Mekapati Goutham inaugurated the Andhra Pradesh state Pavilion at the EXPO2020-Dubai in Dubai, the UAE, on Friday.

The minister said India and the UAE share a rich history and “our relationship extends through many centuries.”
“Our partnership is based on age-old trade links, converging economic and strategic interests and ancient cultural and religious ties,” he said.

Minister Goutham Reddy said Andhra Pradesh is the 8th largest state and is strategically located on India’s east coast with a 974km-long coastline blessed with abundant natural resources and mineral wealth. “It presents a low-risk and easy environment for businesses to grow.”

“Under the leadership of chief minister Jagan, AP is committed to delivering socio-economic prosperity to the citizens. AP is re-defining governance by delivering public services through village and ward secretariats, arranging doorstep delivery of civil supplies items, Rythu Bharosa Kendra (One stop solution for farmers) and organising more such forward looking initiatives.”

Minister Reddy said, “We are here at the Dubai Expo to showcase the strengths of Andhra Pradesh, namely strong governance, strategic locational advantages, robust infrastructure, a thriving industrial & business ecosystem, skilled manpower and the immense potential for growth across sectors.”

He said AP state is a leader in agricultural, horticulture, dairy and seafood production and the second in freshwater fish production. “In the AP Pavilion, we are showcasing 12 themes in the week-long expo and also AP’s Investable projects across sectors, which can be used as a guide for all potential investors in Andhra Pradesh.”
