Hyderabad's Rashtrapati Nilayam gears up for President Murmu's winter sojourn

Hyderabad: Ahead of the visit of President Droupadi Murmu to the city for the winter sojourn at Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bolaram, the officials have taken up work to spruce up the place.

According to the officials, the President will stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam from December 18 to 23. Officials have closed Rashtrapati Nilayam for visitors from December 11 to take up restoration work. It will be reopened for visitors December 25.

Some of the works include minor renovations to the structure, further developing the greenery in the premises and beautification works at the open spaces. Measures to make remove snakes and strays were taken up.

“Keeping the premises closed for visitors gives more space for the staff to work,” said an official from Rashtrapati Nilayam.
