Hyderabad: Former minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav's officer on special duty G. Kalyan Kumar on Monday approached the Telangana High Court seeking anticipatory bail in the FIR registered against him and four others on allegations of destroying crucial documents and CCTV camera footage in the office of the animal husbandry department, following the change of the government in Telangana state.
Based on the complaint of the building watchman, the police had registered the FIR against Kalyan and the four others — Mohan, Elijah, Venkatesh and Prasanth — on charges of damaging the office premises and destroying the documents. The police are also investigating whether they had taken away key documents.
Apprehending his arrest in the case, Kalyan filed a criminal petition before the High Court seeking to grant the bail in the event of the police arresting him. The case may come up for hearing on Tuesday.
